Scythe Products Warranty

Thank you for choosing Scythe products. We will provide corresponding warranty periods and services for different series of products from the date of purchase. Please read the following instructions and content carefully. When you start using the warranty service we provide, it means that you have fully understood the relevant terms and conditions and accepted the following rules.

Warranty Period

The initiation of the warranty will be calculated from the date of the purchase invoice*, please take a photo of the serial number barcode on the color box when purchasing or receiving the goods, and register to the Scythe official website for the product serial number and upload the invoice/receipt. If the invoice/receipt are lost, the product warranty will be calculated from the month shown in the serial number barcode(or photo). If all above receipts can not be provided, the warranty will become invalid.

The warranty period varies according to the country and territory. The product warranty information announced by the agent in each territory shall prevail. Please check with your place of purchase.

When sending defective products for repair, please present the original purchase invoice/receipt or a photo of the serial number barcode to facilitate the store to check the warranty period and perform repair services.

Warranty Terms

If the product does have material or manufacturing defects within the warranty period, Scythe will deal with it in the form of repair, and if it cannot be repaired, it will replace it with a product of the same type. If the product is discontinued, it will be replaced with the same grade product.

If the warranty period is exceeded, the consumer must bear the cost of parts and maintenance services. Those who cannot accept, Scythe has the right to refuse to repair.

After inspection by Scythe, the product itself has no fault or defects, and the abnormal phenomena caused from improper transportation, installation and operation mistake, applied non-standard accessories, self-alteration, connection with other peripheral equipment, abnormal use(such as mining system), it will not apply to this service guarantee. In order to ensure user’s right to use, the service can be negotiated under a paid condition.

For any damaged caused by transportation or handling, please file a claim with the contracted transport/logistic company.

Please obtain warranty service from the original channel/e-shop. If you ask for warranty service in a country or territory other than original stores, Scythe has the right to define warranty service territory.

The ownership of the parts removed for repairing the faulty product shall belong to Scythe; Scythe may use new or refurbished parts with the same functional specifications for product repairs.

Exceptions(Disclaimer) : The warranty service provided by Scythe is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products. IN NO EVENT SHALL SCYTHE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES(INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES DUE TO INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE, LOSS OF DATA, AND LOSS OF BUSINESS), TORT, IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ITS USE OR POSSENSSION No liability to the buyer or any third party.

*For products purchased in Japan, the warranty terms are based on the Japanese version.
